Westonbirt Arboretum

So, I’ve taken some time out last year: travel, sketching, painting in far flung locations, getting married, going on honeymoon etc. It was a busy year. The current work is coming along nicely and will be added 1st to 2nd quarter next year now, thanks to the situation we’ve all been going through this year. The year has been a challenging one for us all.

Taking a little time out will, I hope, have brought new inspiration, new ideas finding their way into my latest work. The ongoing work of finishing pieces from the previous year continues alongside framing, photography for new print runs and all the other peripherals of staying creative.

Just to keep the pressure up, I’m relocating to Devon: dramatic scenery and wonderful light are just too much to resist. This obviously takes a little time and organisation but I should be back up to full steam soon.

I will post updates on here towards the end of the year and in the interim on Twitter and FB.

This is one of the Westonbirt series I have been working on and it’s coming along nicely. I’ve added a snapshot so you can see the idea, although it was way to sunny to get the exposure correct. A great day out sketching and preping for this one and finishing in the studio. Keep you posted on the knew works ASAP.
