Spring at last……

A few false starts to Spring have certainly kept things interesting! The studio has worn a snowy mantle on quite a few occasions this year. As we approach Easter lets hope the snow stays away and Spring continues its comeback. The last three months have been busy.

There has been a lot on the easel lately! Nine new paintings on the go, with some nearing finish. A few are are currently at the framers, and while I look forward to those being ready, I’m fidgety to get stuck in to even more new work!

The sketches and studies I have completed in the last year are all turning into finished pieces and some of last summer’s should be ready for their new owners this summer coming.

I have added a few pictures of some of the new ones in their slightly unfinished form to give you an idea of the works in progress.

Aside from new work I have also been busily getting ready to attend a few arts and crafts fairs this year. I will be putting a note up here and on my Twitter page as to where and when, so, if you happen to be in the area I’m showing please drop by and say hello.

Here’s a quick glimpse at some of the new work.

The three above are nearing completion, the next few are a little way off as yet! All have been sketched in situ, and in a couple of cases, three quarters finished en plein air. Nothing beats painting from real life as it appears before you.

Thanks for checking in.

Speak soon,

Chris
